ALC November Newsletter

ISSUE 016 | NOVEMBER 2023

adultlifestylecommunities.com

WELCOME to the November issue of ALC’s Newsletter! Nearing the end of a year is often the time when we look back and reflect on what’s passed and what’s to come. Certainly, the importance of “community” in our lives is not to be overlooked.

Reflecting on the past year and a half since our own online Community – Adult Lifestyle Communities – was launched, we have grown our ALC family to almost 3,500 members! This year alone we have had over 70,000 visitors! This month, ALC’s Newsletter celebrates “Community” with the first of a series of articles that will focus on the variety of communities there are, by our newest contributor, Dorothea Helms.

We have been able to engage with a wonderful group of experienced writers whose blogs and articles entertain on a vast range of topics and inform every month. ALC has established an exciting roster of ALC Benefit Partners and Experts who bring a world of resources and value-added benefits to members and visitors alike.

And in 2024 we are planning more Special Events, Exclusive Travel Opportunities and Exciting Experiences - including a trip south to Memphis & Nashville and an exciting opportunity to WIN A 3-DAY LUXURY ESCAPE to picturesque and historic Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Share all ALC has to offer! Send this newsletter to a friend.

The Ubiquitous Community

By Dorothea Helms

One definition of “community” is a group of people living in the same spot. Indeed, older Ontarians looking to purchase a residence have numerous home collections labelled “adult lifestyle” to choose from. Certainly, the appeal of a geographical adult lifestyle community is the fact that it brings together seniors, retirees, and empty nesters from all walks of life. Of course, on this website, you will find information on neighbourhoods aimed at that demographic. AdultLifestyleCommunities.com, however, offers much more than information on where to live. In fact, it represents the word “community” in many of its iterations.
