Autumn, arrived a little late this year with a triumph of magnificent colours, blazing blue skies, incredible displays of Northern Lights and the fourth of a series of spectacular full Moons. Fall brings us Thanksgiving, bountiful harvests and, as Halloween pumpkins and spooky front yards vie with Christmas décor in the stores, it brings reminder that another season of our lives has passed. It's a wonderful time for reflection, and renewal, for family gatherings and quiet walks, wine tastings and preserve making. At ALC we wish you all the blessings of this special season, with a sense of gratitude for the peace and harmony of our Canadian way of life. |

SUPERAGING EXPO A SUPER SUCCESS! CARP Mississauga hosted the SuperAging Expo at Vic Johnston Community Centre on October 23, 2024. Over 200 guests attended the event which featured 24 exhibitors offering services and products designed to enhance seniors' lifestyles including ALC Partners Secure 4 Life, Weaver Exterior Remodeling, ShelfGenie, travel experts Collette, Evergreen Retirement Community, Amica Senior Lifestyles, and Royal LePage Accredited Senior Agent Tony Whitehouse, ASA. Attendees enjoyed a tasty "Toonie" lunch thanks to generous sponsors Pizza Nova, No Frills, Loblaw, and Panela Cookies. There were numerous raffle prizes, and all attendees received both a free ALC Membership, and a complimentary 1-year CARP membership, valued at $20. CARP-A-LICIOUS RECAP ALC members enjoyed a spectacular, sold-out wine pairing dining experience on September 29th, 2024, at Turtle Jack's Erin Mills. Wine was sponsored by Oyster Bay, the wines were meticulously selected to complement each course of a four-course meal prepared by Turtle Jack's executive chef. An awesome time was had by all! Many guests went home with wonderful raffle prizes, and everyone received a swag bag filled with many useful items.
