About this Community
The brick Highland-Crest building was originally a convent for a missionary order, “The White Sisters of Africa”, who came to Antigonish to study at St. Francis Xavier University and the Coady Institute.
In the 1960’s and 1970’s, as vocations to the religious life dwindled, the order moved out of Nova Scotia and the building was used to house StFX students for a time. In 1981, the building was acquired by High-Crest Enterprises and after extensive renovations, was licensed by the Department of Community Services as a 40 bed Residential Care Facility.
Today, Highland-Crest Home provides you with the freedom of independent living, and the comfort and security of around-the-clock professional care.
